Museum of the Second World War — Special Operations “Praga”
A film about the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, shot with actors and historical reenactors and animated with AI. One of four films for an exhibition at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk (production: Navia).
The film
The film was made for an exhibition at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk as one of four films in the “Special Operations” series. It tells the story of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, one of the architects of the “Final Solution to the Jewish Question”.

A hybrid method
We worked on a film set with actors and historical reenactors, and animated the scenes with AI techniques. The film combines the actors’ performances with authentic historical sources.

My role
I directed one of the four films. Each director led a separate project with one actor and worked with the whole team across the production stages. Jacek Olak plays Jozef Gabčík.

Cannes
We presented the production process at a special session in the Polish Film Institute pavilion at Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes. These films needed both AI and human creativity: they grew out of blending techniques, creative problem-solving and constant experimentation.
