Project storytelling with AI at the PMI Congress

At the 19th PMI Poland Chapter Congress in Warsaw, I ran a workshop on how to use AI to turn project data into stories that stay in the memory.

On 22 November 2024, I ran a two-hour workshop at the 19th International PMI Poland Chapter Congress "Waves of Transformations" at the Airport Hotel Okęcie in Warsaw. The topic: "Project storytelling with AI: transforming data into engaging stories".

In a data-saturated world, the key to project management is the ability to turn information into stories that engage and inspire. Using a fictional project, I showed how to optimise stakeholder communication with AI. Key takeaways:

  • Data helps to understand what happened and why, while stories remain in the memory.
  • The six thinking hats method allows looking at a project from different perspectives, for example through a conversation between various stakeholder groups.
  • Ready-made story structures, such as Kishōtenketsu, help to quickly write a script for a short animation.
  • A video prompt is best built according to the structure: camera movement, scene description, additional details.
  • The human role remains important, and AI makes repeating processes faster and more efficient.
